January 2020 Mougulu hosted a cultural festival. It was a rich and diverse gathering of people from across the Strickland and Bosavi regions. There were stunning displays of traditional dancing, dress and food. There was a buzz of excitement as we announced the progress of the high school for the area, as it's the first high school for this region. The Hoey family was also honoured for 50 years + of service to the people.
The cultural festival was a huge success and the people enjoyed it so much we hope to make it an annual event. Keep your eyes peeled for dates. (We hope to celebrate with the new high school students at he next festival)
